Romanow Law Group

Richard Manilla, Esq.

Message from David:

Rick joined this firm shortly after graduating law school.  He is always willing go the extra mile for his clients and cares about making their lives easier in the wake an accident. He wears his integrity, compassion and heart on his sleeve, which is why clients routinely tell me how awesome Rick is at not just “lawyering”, but handling the human side of their cases.  If you want a lawyer who will work hard on your case and never forgets that he works for you – the client – please call Rick.

Biography

I became an attorney to give people a voice when they have no one to speak for them.  As much as this is a profession, legal work is a service and my priority is providing my clients with elite-level representation.  Clients should know their attorney and I take the time to understand my client’s concerns and priorities. I will work hard to ensure that the lives shattered by injury are put back together.

Growing up in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, I learned the value of family, hard-work, and community.  As soon as my parents would allow, I began working odd jobs throughout Western Pennsylvania.  At age fourteen, I was hired as a farm-hand where I spent summers bailing hay and cutting lumber.  While I attended college, I worked summers at the Joy Cone Company and Wheatland Tube Steel Mill, factories located in my hometown area.  This experience taught me the priorities of working families.

After graduating law school, I wanted the opportunity to help as many people as possible.  Working for Romanow Law Group has afforded me the chance to positively impact the lives of every client I get to meet.  I have gained valuable experience in auto-insurance law, litigation and motion practice, and settlement negotiations.  At Romanow Law Group, I have helped several clients achieve the results they deserved by utilizing this experience and prioritizing their goals above all else.

I received my Juris Doctorate from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.  While there, I competed for the ONU Moot Court program in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition, the largest moot court competition in the world.  I later became the oral advocacy coach for the ONU Moot Court’s international law team.  I also had the opportunity to clerk for the Honorable Gregory L. Frost from the Southern District Court of the United States District Court of Ohio.

Working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has been a dream of mine since childhood.  I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful community and to bring my life experiences and skills as a litigator to people of Pittsburgh.  If you are ever injured and have a legal question, please give me a call.  I will take the time to have a conversation with you and answer any questions that you might have.

Education

  • Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law

Personal

Outside of work, I try to spend as much time with my family as possible.  I have a very large family, and I make it a point to make every birthday I can.  My wife, Hannah, and I often spend Saturdays exploring Pittsburgh trying to find new restaurants and cafes.  We recently moved to Bloomfield and have met several wonderful people in the local Bocce leagues.
